TWICE's latest album, "Taste of Love," ranked sixth on Billboard's three main charts on Tuesday. It is the highest ranking of K-pop girl groups in the history of mini albums, TWICE's own best record, and a rapid rise in a year since its first entry into the chart, adding meaning to its good performance.

In July 2019, TWICE held its first solo concert in the United States at the Forum in Los Angeles. Elvis Presley, Jackson Five, Freddie Mercury and Lady Gaga marked the start of the American tour, and local fans filled the venue were enthusiastic about TWICE, a girl group representing K-pop. Even in the absence of a separate local promotion, they sold out their American tour performances such as New York and Chicago, confirming a definite impact on the home of pop.

In February 2020, the company announced a strategic partnership with Republic Records, one of the top U.S. labels, amid numerous overseas love calls, and began its global move in earnest. Republic Records under Universal Music, selected by Billboard as the No. 1 label for four consecutive years, called JYP Entertainment the "best label for K-pop," and the two companies agreed on a plan to show K-pop's new future to fans around the world through TWICE. Major media such as Forbes and Billboard showed high expectations for JYP Entertainment and Republic Records' cooperation.

Two months later, TWICE made visible moves as it stepped up global interaction. They launched the original YouTube series "TWICE: Seize the Light" alone for the first time as a K-pop girl group and released content consisting of a total of eight episodes to 81 regions around the world. From the time of the nine members who worked hard to achieve their dreams to their status as "K-pop representative girl groups," videos that implied the group's history have captivated domestic and foreign viewers beyond the limitations of time and time.

In June 2020, TWICE's ninth mini album "MORE & MORE" first entered the 200th place on the "Billboard 200" chart, announcing its popularity there. In order to repay the love, they released a song that sang "MORE & MORE" in English around the world in August and established ties with global fans. In addition, they participated in various global promotions and made efforts to produce various contents.

At the end of 2020, performance was more pronounced. The English version of "I CAN'T STOP ME", the title track of the second album "Eyes wide open", was officially released, and met with people on the YouTube channel of the late-night CBS talk show "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert". In December, the album "Eyes wide open" ranked 72nd on the "Billboard 200" chart, and ranked 73rd on the "Artist 100," another Billboard main chart that comprehensively aggregates and ranks artists, including second on "World Album" and 12th on "Top Album Sales."

In January this year, "CRY FOR ME" topped the Billboard "World Digital Song Sales" chart, and the members decorated the closing stage of the live event "TIME100 Talks" hosted by the U.S. weekly magazine Time. In April, he appeared on NBC's popular show "The Kelly Clarkson Show" and showed off his ripe performance charm.

In June 2021, one year after its debut on Billboard's main chart, TWICE recorded a solid growth history of the K-pop girl group, rising 194 notches from 200th on the Billboard 200 chart with its 10th mini album "Taste of Love." In the U.S. flagship program "Ellen Show," the new song "Alcohol-Free" gave domestic and foreign viewers a special vacation, while leading media such as Billboard, Rolling Stone, and NME also poured spotlight on TWICE's strong performance.

JYP Entertainment proved that it worked properly to launch U.S. and global promotions based on a strategy to emphasize the bond between artists and fans and focus on communication. TWICE's evolution and progress toward another goal at the point of success are further strengthening its position as a K-pop role model group. TWICE's whole evolutionary direction is towards the fans. When the news of ranking sixth on the Billboard 200 chart was reported, the first thing TWICE did was to send sincere greetings to fans through SNS, saying, "Thank you so much for being together!" The bond and communication with fans that have been maintained since their debut, and the enthusiastic support of the global fandom that responds to them, are the biggest support for TWICE to continue to grow.
