When actor Woo-sung Jung asked how he felt about being a producer through the Netflix original series "The Silent Sea" through a video interview on the 4th (Korea Standard Time), he replied like this.

In particular, he expressed his honest thoughts on the current situation in which the criteria for evaluating the success of the work were set for the "Squid Game," saying that he felt a lot of pressure amid global attention to Korean works after the global hit of "Squid Game.
"It's harsh. You have to erase that standard quickly. How many works around the world have created phenomena such as "Squid Game"? If you look at the reference point, I think there will be a situation where you will miss the unique fun or message of the work."
When it comes to the evaluation that likes and dislikes about the 'The Silent Sea' are divided, he said, "I take it calmly and continue to reflect on what I have missed as a producer."
Woo-sung Jung, who became the second producer after the movie Don't Forget Me, said, "I had to release (the work) to the world this time, so I was worried about commerciality," adding, "As a result, I constantly pondered the director's responsibility, intention, and direction of directing."
The cast, including Doona Bae and Gong Yoo, praised "producer Woo-sung Jung" for not only visiting the scene every day but also putting passion into creating a filming environment for actors and staff.
