The group Black Pink and Eun-hee Kim, author of the drama "Kingdom," were included in the list of "women who influenced the global entertainment industry" selected by U.S. entertainment media Variety.
Variety released a list of 54 Women That Have Made an Impact in Global Entertainment on its website on the 4th. The announcement was made on March 8 to commemorate World Women's Day.
Variety evaluated Black Pink as "a super star" last year's tour, which was "the year of lockdown," without going around.
Their first full-length album topped the iTunes charts in 57 regions, released the Netflix documentary "BLACKPINK: Light the World" and held an online concert in January this year, pointing out that "their popularity has no borders.
As for writer Eun-hee Kim, she also introduced her next works, including "Kingdom: Ashin of the North" and "Chiri-san," noting that "two hot genres of historical dramas and zombie action thrillers were melted into Netflix hit "Kingdom."
