Group BTS set a new record, surpassing 300 million streams on the Oricon chart in Japan with "Dynamite".

According to Japan's Oricon latest chart on May 3, BTS's digital single "Dynamite" recorded 6.69 million views in its weekly streaming rankings counted from April 19 to April 25, achieving a cumulative total of 36.533,902.

"Dynamite" is the third song in history to exceed 300 million cumulative plays in the Oricon weekly streaming ranking and the first record for a foreign singer.

As soon as it was released in August last year, "Dynamite" topped the top 10 for 36 consecutive weeks, recording 300 million streaming sessions in the shortest time since it reached third place in the Oricon weekly streaming rankings on August 31.

"Dynamite" is a song that contains BTS's desire to spread vitality and hope in times of difficulty with Covid19, and is loved around the world, sweeping various charts more than eight months after its release. On the U.S. Billboard chart, they became the first Korean singer to reach the top of the Hot 100, the main single chart for three consecutive weeks, and succeeded in the 32-week chart, setting a record for the longest chart by a Korean singer.

BTS released their Japanese best album "BTS, THE BEST" on June 16, featuring "Film out". The album will feature a total of 23 singles and album tracks released by BTS in Japan for four years from 2017, including the global hit song "Dynamite," "Blood Sweat Tears," "FAKE LOVE," "IDOL," "MIC Drop" and "ON."
